The newly formed White Sulphur Springs and Meagher County Montana Consolidated Planning Board “City/County Planning Board” is working to update and merge the existing 2017 City of White Sulphur Springs Growth Policy and the 2015 Meagher County Growth Policy to create a “Consolidated Growth Policy”.
The City/County Planning Board was formed out of a desire to pursue and manage responsible growth and economic development in the City and the County particularly with the coming development of the Black Butte Copper Mine. The City/County Planning Board was formed by an Interlocal Agreement between the White Sulphur Springs City Council and Meagher County Commission.
Great West Engineering, located in Helena, has been hired to assist the City/County Planning Board with completing the project. The City and the County are sharing the costs of the Growth Policy consolidation.
